Artist Statement

Karen Tusinski’s artwork emerges from a blend of inspiration drawn from the everyday, whether through sketches from life, collage work in her notebooks, or photographs taken with her cell phone. Her art frequently features motifs such as vibrant poppies in diverse color palettes, serene, pebble-laden beaches, and consistent circular patterns found within both abstract pieces and expressive forms. Still life is another theme Tusinski explores. She delves into the ordinary aspects of life to present them in a way that offers viewers a fresh perspective on familiar scenes. Additionally, her work has been collected internationally, attesting to its broad appeal and recognition.
