Artist Statement

Each day, Karen Tusinski walks to her studio along the Ipswich River in Massachusetts, absorbing the sounds, colors, and textures of the landscape. These impressions infuse her paintings, which simplify natural forms and explore the interplay of color and relationship. After sixteen years owning the Tusinski Gallery, she now works on commission, allowing more time for experimentation and reflection. Her nature-based work—whether inspired by flowers, weather, or light—reveals a lifelong dialogue between observation and emotion, landscape and abstraction.
